About
I’ve always been passionate about bridging the gap between technology and education. My career started as an assistant in a university IT department, and over the past 20 years, I’ve grown into roles of technical leadership at some of the world’s most recognizable tech companies. Along the way, I’ve specialized in platform modernization, retail and international banking applications, and SaaS microservice architectures, creating solutions for everything from mom-and-pop shops to Fortune 500 retailers.
My experiences aren’t limited to purely technical roles: I’ve also been active in business development, balancing hands-on technical expertise with formal business education to ensure that the products I help create align with real-world market demands. Beyond my professional pursuits, I’ve committed myself to teaching and mentoring, serving as an adjunct faculty member at several institutions of higher learning, including Southern New Hampshire University and Central Texas College. Additionally, I’m an Advisory Board Member for a Strategic AI Program, where I collaborate with academic and industry leaders to guide AI curriculum and research.
I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southern New Hampshire University, a Master of Science in Software Engineering from Regis University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Xavier University. In my spare time, I contribute to open-source projects and develop independent software applications—all while keeping a keen eye on emerging technologies that can transform both business and education.
Above all, I believe learning never stops. My goal in writing each book in the Digital Foundations Series is to demystify complex technologies and share knowledge that empowers you to make informed decisions, whether you’re a seasoned professional or a student just beginning your journey. I hope these guides will inspire you to explore, question, and build solutions that make a meaningful impact in our rapidly evolving digital world.
